Jesse Dilbley was born at Yetholme 1845 to Jesse Dibley and Sarah Dean. He married Hannah Gallagher in 1868 in Bathurst.

the local paper.

A most delightful family re-union was celebrated last Tuesday when the family of Mr. Jesse Dibley of Lambert-street gathered from all parts to be with him on his 80th birthday. Mr. Dibley who was born at Yetholme is a magnificent specimen of an Australian, being hale and hearty, and has been remarkably free from the ailments that usually effect men of his mature years. At the large family dinner party were Mr and Mrs. Morris and daughter Grace of Mudgee (daughter and son-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Kirk, of Kirribbilli (daughter and son-in-law), and Mrs. Withers of Bondi (daughter), Miss Nina Dibley and other members of the family all being residents of Bathurst. During the evening a large number of friends called to wish Mr. Dibley 'Many Happy Returns' and were entertained with music and dancing. A feature of the evening was the beautifully decorated birthday cake decorated with 50 coloured candles which was the work of Mrs Dan Smith of Keppel street.Source: Bathurst. Saturday, May 23, 1925.
